Dragonstar

I wasn't a thief. I merely stole a very important jewel.

For centuries, the elves have protected the most important jewel in whole Verabni: the Dragonstar. The humans were too corrupted to protect it; easily they are deceived and lied to. Easily they succumb to darkness. Though, it wasn't one of them that stole the Dragonstar three months ago. Now dragons burn down everything to find it.

I am Serasi Leiown, one of the cursed elves. It was my father who got us cursed; it was me who did something completely different.

I have the Dragonstar.
Now this is my current novel called Dragonstar. The cover was made by someone on Figment and I think it is really awesome. Don't you? The novel itself is going very well; I haven't got so much yet but I'm loving my characters and plot. I'll tell you something about my characters.
Serasi is the main elven character and holder of the Dragonstar; she's a thief with a stubborn; fierce; loyal; cunning; athletic; arrogant and intelligent.
Then there is Malak; a young human thief who helps Serasi along with Viola and Ariella. I really; really; really love them. I owe three characters to three great friends and I love those characters very much. They have strong voices; which is good for a novel of course.
Now; here is a small excerpt from the novel Dragonstar:
Drips of rain splattered on the floor, ticking gently as grey-purple clouds covered the sky. Rain fell down from the sky as carriages made their way over the field to a castle that topped the city. In the dark, I watched as lords and ladies got out of their carriage and walked to the doors, escorted by their guards. Next to me, I heard a soft sigh.
“Are you sure we should do this?” a soft, musical voice reached my ears even though it was barely a whisper.
“I am very sure Morttia.”
“But Serasi…” Morttia started softly, her brown eyes were flickering with fear.
“Think of all the things we can do with this jewel Morttia. Do you not see the possibilities? Sweet sister, this will bring us glory.”
“And death.”
“Morttia, keep such dark thoughts before you. Otherwise they might become true.” I glared at her from behind my peacock-feathered mask. Morttia sighed deeply and shook her head.
“I see no good in this, Serasi. This will not bring us the glory you think it will bring; it will only bring us despair. The sky weeps, sister that is never a good sign.”
“It is not a good sign for the elves.”
“Are we not elves too?”
That was it; I hope you enjoyed.
